Storying Variations
While some of the following ideas may fall a little outside of traditional storying approaches they hold the following values in common:
- Biblical
- The biblical narrative is presented whole without embedded exposition.
- The biblical narrative is presented in language that is completely intelligible to the hearers. This includes the use of the vernacular as well as appropriate local idioms.
- A primary purpose is that the hearers be able to reproduce an accurate storied version of the biblical narrative.
- Biblical naratives that are presented have been crafted with basic exegetical principles in mind. Someone has done their homework.
